After two years of successful nominations by nlgroeit, the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, and the Rotterdam School of Management, we’re thrilled to announce – we won the award for the fastest-growing tech company in the Netherlands!
Not only that, but our very own Managing Partner, Sonja Meijerink, also won an award for her devotion and hard work as a female entrepreneur!
The Golden Grower Award
The Golden Grower Award is an award that is given annually by nlgroeit, the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, and the Rotterdam School of Management as a part of a prestigious event and based on thorough research conducted in collaboration by the two organisations.
The criteria for winning this award is that the company has to be an HGF, or high-growth firm, with an annual growth rate in FTE (full-time employment) of over 20% over the past 3 years.
The research is done by taking the growth factor into account, as well as the companies’ conduct. This in-depth analysis also helps to determine how other companies can grow as well, improving the state of scaleups in the Netherlands.
Our Path to Success
The organisations behind the award put out a list of the top 250 companies that meet these criteria. After being on the list for two years in a row, Valcon SEE made it to the very top in 2023!
This is due to the fact that we have grown from 60 to almost 500 employees since 2019! We’re honoured to have received this award and want to take a moment to say thank you to every single one of those 500 people who have made Valcon SEE what it is today.
On top of that, we want to say special thanks to Sonja Meijerink, our managing partner, whose work has been recognised at this year’s event with a Female Entrepreneur Award – for the second year in a row!
Finally, we have to express our gratitude toward nlgroeit, the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, and the Rotterdam School of Management for giving us this prestigious title and recognising all the hard work our people have put in.
