The new booking platform
Last year, Typeqast worked with QuickParking on developing a new reservation system that could be sufficiently scalable to meet their expanding IT requirements and customer base. The new booking platform is the foundation of the QuickParking company, upon which all of their services are built.
To recap: 1. Customers are able to book easily and rely on services when they arrive at the car park 2. Drivers have access to all customer insights 3. All information is integrated and linked to the new platform 4. The new platform is expected to save 20 to 25% on operational labor and shuttle costs 5. Although Quick Parking is making much more use of IT services, the IT costs have fallen by 35%.
QuickParking Corona spin-off
With the help of Typeqast’ agile software development, QuickParking has now been able to add a spin-off to the platform: the Quick Test Schiphol. From the first of November, travelers are able to get tested for Corona before they go on holiday, on one of QuickParking’s parking lots. This enables travelers to get the antigen results within half an hour, the PCR results within 24-48 hours, and receive international travel certificates at the same time. Following the result, they can park the car and take the shuttle bus to Schiphol airport. This way, QuickParking is able to make travelers’ journeys more flexible.
The results
The pandemic has had negative effects on a lot of businesses, but with these kinds of pivots we’re hoping to contribute to business results. We were able to do that in just a few weeks by using the full power of the current platform to sell test-only booking and combine parking and booking products across three owned eCommerce sites and 20+ API partner integrations.
Soon the PCR tests will be available within 30 minutes too. These testing streets will be offered in short term on QuickParking parking lots near other airports as Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Brussel-Zaventem too.
